Prof. Dr. Christian Duve has partnered with the international law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer for over 20 years. In the last five years, Christian has acted as an independent arbitrator and mediator in technology-related business disputes.
From an entrepreneurial perspective, Christian has gained practical insights into AI in his role as a business angel in start-ups whose business model is based on AI. Concerning legislation, Christian serves as rapporteur for the German Bar Association (Deutscher AnwaltVerein, DAV) regarding the European AI regulation. For DAV, he is also part of a legal tech jury. At the University of Heidelberg, Christian teaches, among other topics, classes regarding the regulation of AI.
