Manuscripts

After completing the conference registration, all attendees are invited to submit their manuscripts or abstracts for consideration. The 2023 International Conference on Algorithms and Law accepts all submissions via email at submissions@ijlet.org. Manuscripts should be submitted as a Word (preferred) or PDF file and include the author’s address, telephone number, and email address. Additionally, authors are requested to provide a resume, a letter of introduction, and a short abstract. Please note that hard-copy submissions will not be accepted.

A recommendation letter is required for all DC participants. The letter should describe the advisor’s interaction with the student and assess the quality of their work. If a letter of recommendation cannot be obtained from the advisor, please include a brief explanation in your manuscripts submission email to submissions@ijlet.org.

Peer Review Process:

The 2023 International Conference on Algorithms and Law welcomes submissions of Articles, Essays, and Book Reviews. ICAL ’23 requests that contributors comply with the following standards:
Anonymous Review: Please confine your name, affiliation, biographical information, and acknowledgments to a separate cover page to facilitate our anonymous peer review process. In addition, please include the manuscript’s title on the first text page.
Citation Format: Please use footnotes rather than endnotes. Footnotes should conform to the 20th edition of the Bluebook. Please refer to the Submission Guidelines for The International Journal of Law, Ethics, and Technology.

Publishing

We are proud to partner with HeinOnline, a prestigious research platform, to make our conference content accessible to law school and research university libraries worldwide. All selected submissions will be published in the International Journal of Law, Ethics, and Technology, available on HeinOnline. This collaboration offers our attendees unparalleled visibility and accessibility for their research.
All ICAL ’23 authors are required to sign a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License Publication Agreement. This agreement grants readers the right to share, adapt, and build upon the work for any purpose, even commercially, provided that appropriate credit is given to the original author(s) and the source is properly cited.
Furthermore, we are delighted to inform you that there are no Article Processing Charges (APCs) for submissions and publications at the conference. We encourage all registered attendees to take advantage of this opportunity and submit their work for consideration without any cost.

Note: For papers with multiple authors, at least one of the authors must be a registered attendee. Please note that registration fees are non-refundable in the event of cancellation or non-attendance.
